ESS premium 32-bit 8-Channel Digital to Analog Converter

Dedicated power supplies feed all critical circuits driven by an in-house manufactured low-emission shielded toroidal transformer with high efficiency, low ESR slit-foil smoothing capacitors delivering ripple free current. Physical circuit board isolation techniques and electronic decoupling design methods result in lower residual noise and reduced distortion in the sensitive analog stages including the external DAC output filter.

The Coaxial and Optical inputs support PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz with the asynchronous PC-USB input rendering up to 32-bit/384kHz high resolution music files. The PC-USB also supports MQA and DSD 4X and is certified Roon Tested for the highest compatibility with Roon software.

The player’s heavy steel chassis supports a proprietary Rotel disc transport exclusively for the playback of compact discs. The CD11MKII’s smooth, tray-loading mechanism, precise laser pickup and silent running motor controller ensures seamless, worry-free playback of your CD collection.

Digital to Analog conversion is handled by a premium Texas Instruments PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC feeding custom-tuned digital low pass filter circuits. This sound-first design renders music on a large, open sound stage with both power and finesse.

Intuitive CD control functions on the front panel and included remote control ensure simple operation. The front panel graphic display shows playback status and disc meta data information including the title and artist.

The CD11MKII is available in both black and silver colors.

<p>Rotel&rsquo;s new digital-to-analog converter envelops the listener in the most accurate audio reproduction possible from any digital source, whether it be legacy PCM sources or the latest digital file formats. The RDD-1580 provides a level of performance unheard of at its price level and is specifically designed to cater for the growing popularity of high definition digital audio.</p><p>At its heart, the RDD-1580 makes use of Wolfson&rsquo;s extraordinary WM8740 stereo digital-to-analog converter. But where competitive products use only one of these converters to handle two channels, the RDD-1580 uses two WM8740s in a complementary configuration, which reduces noise and distortion well beyond that a single converter can provide.</p><p>Another RDD-1580 advantage lies in its input flexibility. A front panel USB input supports Apple iPod&reg;, iPhone&reg; and iPad&reg; as well as streaming via Bluetooth with the included adapter. The rear panel PC-USB input supports audio up to 24-bit/192kHz in asynchronous mode. Two sets of rear panel RCA-style coaxial and optical digital inputs are optimized for LPCM data streams. This includes CDs 16-bit/44.1kHz standard up to high definition sources with 24-bit/192kHz audio data.</p><p>A Rotel-designed and manufactured toroidal transformer sits at the foundation of the RDD-1580&rsquo;s well-regulated power supply.
