This ensures optimal dispersion of sound when the speaker is mounted high on the wall. AM-1’s low-frequency output is bolstered using a rear-mounted auxiliary bass radiator (ABR). Used instead of a conventional bass reflex port, the ABR endows AM-1 with exceptional bass response for a cabinet of its size. The speaker boasts an IP66 rating, which meaning it is capable of surviving the extremes of temperature, salt spray and hosing down that occurs in a marine environment. The metal grille and fixings are marine-grade stainless steel. The driver chassis uses a non-corroding rigid polymer and the tweeter dome has a rear support to prevent permanent deformation when hosed down.

This ruggedness means that Marine 6 is also capable of providing great sound in a variety of other unforgiving circumstances, especially where a smaller footprint is required.

With an easy-install bracket and that all-important weather resistance, AM-1 delivers great music wherever you want it.

Flexible, durable and great-sounding. The easy-install bracket allows the AM-1 to be mounted vertically or horizontally, for total flexibility of installation.

AM-1 needs a sealed enclosure to shrug off the rain and splashes, but that's not great for solid, powerful bass. So Bowers & Wilkins engineers designed this clever auxiliary bass radiator to give extra low-end punch from a compact enclosures.

We wanted to keep the AM-1 small, yet tough and flexible, so the combination of a slender wall-bracket, a clever one-plug mounting system and 220 degree rotation means we can deliver your music wherever you want it – indoors or out.
